Romney: Father’s Day in Newark
Mitt Romney held a rally in the central Ohio town city of Newark yesterday, promising to restore American’s “fair shot” if voters put him in charge of the White House in November.
Romney the candidate is unabashed about what he believes he can do with the US economy – he promised his policies will lead to an era of prosperity that will “shock the world. I’m convinced that the American people are going to be surprised at just how great this economy is going to be.”
Romney was accompanied by Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio, who is on the GOP vice-presidential short list, and added an Ohio enthusiasm to the day’s events, which included a pancake breakfast in Brunswick and burgers in Troy. According to the campaign bus, “Every Town Counts,” which is painted on the side, and will become ever more apparent as November and the elections draw nearer.
