J.B. Hamlin & Company acted as the Ohio government relations office for a world leader in the high-performance industrial lubricants and fuels industry, providing intimate access to the Ohio General Assembly, as well as federal, state and local regulatory agencies. Through direct advocacy and persistence, we set the stage for this major industrial player to attain its goals, creating an opportunity to influence regulation and gain a lucrative contract leading to long-term, sustained product sales.

THE LARGEST SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN OHIO
Advocating on behalf of two of the largest education facility development firms in Ohio, J.B. Hamlin & Company provided government relations to support the firms’ joint venture and secure the largest school building contract issued by the Ohio School Facilities Commission. As a result, the firms gained access to pivotal stakeholders, securing intelligence, influence and impact during the bidding process, ultimately winning a profitable and long-term project.

MATCHING FUNDS FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER ASSOCIATION
As advocates for the not-for-profit professional trade association that represents Ohio’s community health centers, J.B. Hamlin & Company worked to reverse a state decision not to provide matching funds for the association’s dental care program. By leveraging our relationships with high-level government legislators and policymakers, including the Speaker of the House and the committee chairs, combined with our ability to build a coalition of support from various other organizations with similar interests, J.B. Hamlin & Company secured the millions of dollars in funding necessary to support the association’s objectives.
