To Expand or Not To Expand

medicaid-pills_png_800x1000_q100As Medicaid expansion is set to hit the state Controlling Board for a vote on Monday, speculation seems rampant that the board will approve Governor Kasich’s plan in favor.

The administration has characterized the expansion as compassionate, and it would create a federal funding stream at 100% for three years, then 90% after that. The concern is that the ongoing 10% would be an unmanageable burden on state coffers.

Do you think the Controlling Board should authorize the expansion?
